What is Carroted Data?
Carroted Data is a place to keep the numbers your devices send. A sensor, a server, a script or a LoRaWAN node sends readings to a crate, and you look at them in your own Grafana or ask the AI analyst about them in plain English.
There is nothing to install on our side and nothing to register before you send. Sign up, copy your crate's key, and send a reading.
What you can do
Put data in Send readings over HTTP from anything that can make a web request: curl, Python or an ESP32. Upload a CSV file from a logger or a spreadsheet. Point The Things Network at a crate. Or install the Lighthouse agent on a computer and let it report CPU, memory, Docker containers, websites or your own scripts.
See it in Grafana Every account gets its own Grafana workspace, already connected to your crates. Open it with one click from the app, no password needed. Start from the dashboard made for you, add one from the dashboard store, or build your own.
Ask the AI analyst Ask questions like "Show anomalies today" or "Plot temperature vs humidity". The AI analyst answers, draws charts and shows the SQL it ran.

Key concepts
Crates hold your data. Each crate has its own ID (it starts with crt_), its own API key and its own plan. You can have several crates, for example one per project.
Readings are what you send. A reading is a device, a metric, a value and a time:

Devices and metrics appear the first time they send. There is nothing to set up in advance.
Crate types: a General crate takes readings from the HTTP API, CSV upload and Lighthouse. A The Things Network crate takes webhooks from The Things Network.
